Thank you for visiting our site. Having over 25 years of world wide experience as a professional Tour Manager, local guide and organizer has given me the needed expertise to being your best choice in a local provider for your Prague, the Czech Republic and other nearby destinations for your vacation or business trip. Having lived and worked in the tourism field in the United States most of my life as well as several years in Germany has given me the edge in knowing how to offer superior service that clients from abroad expect.
I came to live in Prague again in 2000, opened up my own travel agency and still enjoy guiding many tours myself. In addition, my specialty is providing carefully chosen, professional private guides for any tours in Prague, the Czech Republic and beyond. Wheather for individuals, families, incentive meetings, groups of any kind, I have the professional guide or tour manager for you in most languages of the world. English, German, Italian, French, Spanish and Russian are a given. We have also added professional guides that speak Chinese (Mandarin),Japanese, Korean and Arabic to my repertoire. We also organize transportation, hotel reservations in Prague and other Czech cities as well as meals, shows, games - the works!
Most tours are private but if you want to join another group, great. I offer "Join a group tours" as well.
Our guides are multilingual professionals who really enjoy this city and the country and love to show it to our clients. They have many years of experience travelling themselves. Why a private guide?

Why a private guide? Our private guides are professionals who had to take special courses, lasting many months, to get their "Prague Guide Credentials". In addition, they all have higher education - some having PHDs and other degrees. They are carefully chosen for their customer service, language and local knowledge skills by us. They love their city and country and will be happy to share it with you.

Some people ask a question about the difference between a guide, driver and driver/guide. We do realise that in some other cities guides drive the vehicle that is being used on a tour. However, Prague Private Guides does not offer driver/guides in the Czech Republic with a few exceptions.

A professional, local guide is a person who has at least some higher education, most have university degrees, doctorates, PHDs and more! They speak at least one other language besides their native tongue and usually more. They also have a license in guiding in Prague that can only be obtained after completing a several month course in Prague history. They may or may not have a drivers license.

A profesional driver is a person that has a professional drivers license. They do not require anything else to drive a car or van.
The traffic conditions in the Czech Republic and especially in Prague make it very difficult to concentrate on the road and the customer at the same time. One or the other must suffer ... either the driving is not very safe or the guiding is not very good. Therefore, we leave the driving to the drivers and the guiding to the guides.
