PRAGUE KRAKOW AUSCHWITZ FULL ITINERARY

Prague - Krakow - Auschwitz Tour Full itinerary

1. day – Arrival transfer


After your arrival into the Prague International Airport - Ruzyne, your driver will be waiting for you outside of customs to take you to your hotel in the city.

2. day – private Prague City Tour


After breakfast, your private guide will meet you in your hotel and take you on your tour of Prague, walking and using public transportation.  Prague is very compact and mostly closed to traffic, therefore the walking.  You will visit the Prague Castle Area, the St. Vitus Cathedral, walk down the “Little Quarter”, over the famous Charles Bridge into Old Town, through the Jewish Quarter, view the Astronomical Clock on Old Town Square, go up the tower for a magnificent view and more.  Afternoon is at leisure.

3. day – Free day


Today is free for you to explore or take one of our group tours outside of the city such as Kutna Hora, Karlstejn or Konopiste Castle, Karlovy Vary or Cesky Krumlov.  Let us know in advance we will book it for you.

4. day – Prague – Krakow


Your driver will take you to the train station where you board your afternoon, direct train to Krakow.  After an approximate 7 hour train ride, your Polish driver will meet you at the train station in Krakow and take you to your hotel.

 

5. day – private Krakow City Tour


Explore Krakow, a former seat of royalty, on your private walking tour today.  Your private guide will meet you in your hotel and take you on foot to see the Krakow Castle Hill, the Old Main Square, the University area, the old Market Hall, visit St. Mary’s Basilica and much more.  Krakow is also very densely built with vehicles not being allowed in many part, therefore it is best done while walking.  The tour takes about 4 hours.  Afternoon is at leisure

6. day – Auschwitz – Birkenau Tour


Join other people on this tour to the notorious concentration camp, the largest of it’s kind.  Visit all 3 camps, Auschwitz I, II and Birkenau in this area, see the film about the history, the barracks and much more.  (Not suitable for children.)  The tour takes about 5.5 hours.

Should you have children with you or you would prefer to substitute another tour, no problem.  Visit the famous Wieliczka Salt Mine.  It is a mine located only 15 km (10 miles) from Krakow, where salt used to be mined in large quantities.  Now it is an interesting series of excavated salt caves, made fully accessible by stairs and passageways with a chapel, statues of saints, chandeliers and more all made of salt.  Unique in the world.  (Not recommended for people with walking problems or claustrophobia)

7. day – Airport transfer


After breakfast, time depending on your flight, your driver will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the Krakow John Paul II/Balice Airport for your flight home or to your next destination.
