Rail and Sail Prague Tour

Experience Prague on a tram, boat and walking.

Ride the tram past some of the most important monuments of Prague, take a boat ride and walk the quaint parts of Old and New Town of Prague.

Weekday and anytime version - MODERN TRAM:

Your professional, English speaking guide meets you in your hotel or the meeting point of your choice and takes you to the nearest stop for the right tram.  The tram is used by all Prague citizens, not just the tourists.  Get to know the "real Prague way" of getting around while you enjoy the old city.  Your guide will explain the sites along the way, as you ride the rails of Prague past some of the most important and historical sites such as the Prague Castle, the Wallenstein Palace, St. Nicholas Cathedral in the Little Quarter, the Peters Hill, Rudolfinum, the National Theater and more.

Weekend and holidays - afternoon version - HISTORICAL TRAM:

Prague has a historical tram collection, which runs only on weekends and holidays - starting at noon.  Should your tour be during these times, we can take you on the historical tram instead of the modern tram and change the schedule.  Just let your guide know.

After the approximately 30 minute ride, you disembark in the city center and walk along the former city walls admiring the Municipal Hall, the Zivnostenska banka building to Wenceslas Square, to the Havel Market, to Old Town visiting Old Town Square, taking the elevator up the tower for a spectacular view, seeing the Astronomical Clock, the Jewish Quarter and more.

Then it’s time for your 1 hour boatride on the river Vltava.  Board your boat in the old city, sail past the National Theater, the Smetana Embankment, see the seat of the Czech Government - the Straka  Academy, the Kramer Villa - the residence of our prime minister and much more. As you ride under the Charles Bridge, enter Certovka (the Devils Stream), a man-made canal connected to the Vltava (Moldau) River.  Legend has it that it is here that an unsuspecting miller lost his life to the devil, who promised him plenty of water in the stream for his soul.  The area will remind you of Venice.  A refreshment is included in the cruise price.  (Beer, wine, softdrinks)
